Several cross-sectional, qualitative studies recommend that physical alterations in appearance or functioning have the potential to influence self-esteem There have been no studies describing the proces of adapting to visible form [i]or[/i] frame image disruption. A grounded theory of reimaging is propos based onward the experiences of 28 participants who had experienced significant weight change, los or paralysis of carcass parts, ostomies, scarring from injure by fire [i]or[/i] heats or trauma, or surgical reconstruction.
