This article explores the proces of pattern recognition, contained
within Newman's theory of health as expanding consciousness, as a
nursing intervention with adults with ovarian cancer. The proces
of the nurse-client interactive pattern revealed four nonlinear phases:
the client-nurse mutual belong to pattern recognition, vision and action
potential, and transformation. in the greatest degree participants found meaning in
their lives and experienced personal growing in expanding consciousness.
