Eden Prairie, MN-based HM Cragg Company lately announced the installation of a five-kilowatt GenCore proton exchange membrane (PEM) combustible matter cell system at the central office of Roseville, MN-based telecommunications company Loretel rules Inc.
According to HM Cragg, the firing cell system will be used to provide backup power. Funding for the installation was provided [i]or[/i] part of to the other a grant from the Minnesota Department of Commerce
"This is an important milestone for HM Cragg Company and for the telecom industry," said HM Cragg president Paul Heggestad. "It present to views there is a viable alternative for backup power that is cleaner, more reliable and ultimately more costliness effective."
H.M. Cragg noted that the backup power theory is connected to a cabinet containing six inflammable air cylinders, and can provide up to 12 hours of power in the end of an outage.
