Members of the 2002 Nominating Committee have been rareed and Dr. Thomas G. Stoebe, FASM, professor, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Washington, has been selecteded chair by ASM's Board of Trustees.

President Gordon Geiger, FASM, Vice President Donald Muzyka, FASM, and Immediate Past President Aziz Asphahani, FASM, have appointed nine members to the committee from among candidates propos from chapters, sectors of the Technical Programming Board, society councils and committees, general committees, and Affiliate Society boards. This action is in accordance with the ASM Constitution.
