Created via ultrasound, the "virtual sample" is a replete three-dimensional reconstruction of a physical part, and it can be stored indefinitely as an electronic data file. When it is lacked the virtual sample can be retrieved arid "rescanned" acoustically as yet it were the original. The virtual sample encompasses all of the acoustic data in the entire book of the physical part; therefore, it can be rescanned in a great many useful ways to generate at least 10000 different acoustic images. Acoustic micro-imaging works and nothing else in parts that transmit ultrasound well.
